Markeaton Park
Markeaton Park, just a short distance from the city centre, is Derby's premier park and has lots to offer for all age groups. The mundy play centre boasts a wealth of activities for children, including crazy golf, bumper cars, bouncy castles, donkey rides, outdoor padding pool and two large play areas. A refreshement kiosk and toilets are also available.
For the more mature visitor, the other side of the park offers pleasure gardens, scenic walking trails, golf and squash courts. The Orangery Cafe serves this area of the park offering refreshments, snacks and light meals. There is also a craft village with several gift shops and workshops where you can see local craftsmen at work.
Parking
Two main car parks serve the park. The first is opposite the Esso petrol station at Markeaton Island on the A38/A52 intersection.
The second is on markeaton lane off the A52 Derby to Ashbourne Road.
